Our pattern turkeys turned out great!
No, I am not lucky enough to have only 15 kiddos in my class - I just have a silly, piddly bulletin board in the hallway that cannot fit a whole class' work.
The kids make the pattern with real pattern blocks first. Then they glue the paper pattern on (I glue the yellow hexagon in the middle first). We count and write the numbers whole group. And then at a later point, they make the turkey's body. I got the idea from Shari Sloane's website (I spend hours there!). They turned out great!
